Prayer Requests

I am a firm believer in the power of prayer. I have seen time and time again that prayers do get answered and miracles can happen. Please feel free to leave a prayer request here in the comment section so that we can pray for you together as an online community. You may be as detailed or as vague as you would like. God knows your specific need.

"18And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the Lord's people. 19Pray also for me, that whenever I speak, words may be given me so that I will fearlessly make known the mystery of the gospel, 20for which I am an ambassador in chains. Pray that I may declare it fearlessly, as I should."
Ephesians 6:18-20

15 Minute Challenge!

As a foster mom, I’m always trying to come up with ways to get to know the kids that come into our home a little better. A few months ago, I decided that I would give each child 15 minutes of uninterrupted one on one time each night to talk, play, read a story or whatever else they wanted to do with just the two of us. 15 minutes may not seem like a lot of time but between cleaning, cooking, school, homework, visits with parents and other things scheduled, 15 minutes of one on one time was all that we could realistically manage in our busy schedule. Over the course of a week worth of 15 minute appointments with each kid, I was spending an hour and 45 minutes of one on one time with each kid. It is a time that both me and the children look forward to and they have let me know that this time is valuable to them and makes them feel that they are important and loved. It gives us a time to reflect on the good and bad of the day and build a bond that may only last a few months, but that t...

Mothering Through Infertility

Infertility is no joke. As a woman who deals with this myself, I know that the struggle is real! If any of you reading this also face this struggle, I'm here for you. I want to start out by saying that you are incredibly strong and I hope that this blog post speaks to you in a loving and sincere, but truthful way. I pray to have the words to speak boldly but tenderly because I understand just how touchy of a subject this can be for a lot of us.  Just know that I am coming from a place of love and truth and that what I have written this week are things that have been put on my heart over the last few years and even more so recently. I am writing this blog post as a reminder to myself but also for those of you that need to hear it as well. The question that has been on my mind most recently is this, when does wanting children go from being a prayer request to an idol that keeps one from fully loving and giving their attention to God? For as long as I can remember I have want...

My Relationship with Jesus

After last weeks post, some of you may be curious about how I plan to grow my relationship with Christ. Well I’m happy to tell you that this is exactly what my blog will be about. My goal is to share my journey to becoming on fire for Christ again and through my journey I hope to inspire others to look at their relationship with Christ As well. Before I get into talking about how I am improving my relationship with Christ, I would like to explain what it means to me to have a relationship with Christ. I know that I have at least a few family members and friends who do not know Christ but are still choosing to read this blog to support me and my venture. For them, I want to explain what it means to be a Christian and why I have chosen to follow Christ so passionately.  I know that before I became a Christian I used to think it was ridiculous  for anyone to believe in God and Jesus and I know I’m not the only one who has ever had ill informed thoughts about Christianity. ...
